ABOUT

Welcome to my mad4weddings website.

I have created this site after having been asked over and over again by people why I don't do weddings more regularly. The answer was always the same - I was simply too busy with my Film and TV career and also having a child doesn't leave that much time to pursue new ventures. Now my son is considerably older, things have changed. Earlier this year I was asked to help a friend, who wasn't able to fulfil her commitment to a bride on her wedding day. I found that I was enjoying myself very much being part of someones Big Day.

My career started back in Berlin in 1994 when I trained as hairdresser. As soon as I finished my apprenticeship I came to London. Here I trained at the prestigious London College of Fashion where I gained a BA(Hons) in Make-up for the Performing Arts. To support myself during college I started to work in Wig departments of several West End shows. I loved the Razzle Dazzle of the theatre and I feel I have learnt a great deal about hair, especially how to put various different styles up securely. I fell pregnant and decided to take a couple years off to be with my son. During that time I've been approached about starting to work in the film industry. It was a lucky coincident as I felt I was ready to start work again. And that is how it all began. I am pleased that these days I can combine my passion for Hair with my passion for Make-up by doing Weddings an various other things.

I hope you enjoy my website as much as I do.
